ArmorLogix’s NEMA 3 and NEMA 4 rated outdoor weatherproof enclosures protect Access Control Panels, CCTV Recorders, Batteries, Power Supplies, Traffic Systems, and more.
NEMA 3 rated enclosures are weather-resistant, protecting against falling dirt and weather hazards such as rain, sleet, snow and ice. They are used outdoors on ship docks, in construction work, and in tunnels and subways.
NEMA 4 rated enclosures are watertight. We test the waterproofing capabilities of these enclosures by spraying them with at least 65 GPM of water from a one-inch nozzle, delivered from a distance of no less than 10 feet for five minutes. Industries use them in environments where the enclosure needs regular spray-downs for cleanliness and disinfection.
Weatherproof Enclosure Features

Marine Grade Aluminum
ArmorLogix carries an extensive line of 5052 marine-grade aluminum enclosures. Marine-grade 5052 aluminum contains no copper, which means it is more rust- and corrosion-resistant than other aluminum grades or steel. The aluminum material also allows for quicker heat dissipation and is lighter in weight than many other weatherproof enclosures of similar sizes. It provides long-lasting protection for sensitive electronics.
360° Cooling
Cooling is a vital part of any enclosure, and that is why we ship every enclosure with equipment installed to necessitate excellent heat dissipation.
Each Armorlogix enclosure comes standard with a built-in sunshade and 2x Universal Mounting Brackets, enabling true 360° cooling around the outside of your enclosure. The sunshade allows for additional natural temperature control and airflow, and the rain guard prevents water from collecting on the top of the door seals.
The sunshade also acts like a heat sink by absorbing heat from within the enclosure and then dispersing it through colder air circulating past the top. In addition, the ArmorLogix sunshade reflects the sun’s rays from hitting the top of the enclosure, helping reduce additional sources of heat in the interior of the enclosure.
By keeping the enclosure away from the wall, the Universal Mounting Plate’s offset design allows for a full 360° of airflow circulation and keeps interior condensation at a minimum.
Universal Mounting Brackets
All enclosures come standard with (Two) 16-inch universal mounting brackets made from 3/16-inch aluminum. The offset design allows for a full 360° of airflow circulation, keeping your equipment running optimally with minimal condensation. Mount your enclosure easily to a wall, pole, or other mounting options like Unistrut. With multiple pole banding slots, users can mount ArmorLogix enclosures anywhere, even down to a 2.5-inch pole.

Blank Equipment Plate
Each enclosure includes a blank aluminum equipment mounting plate that is both adjustable and removable. The plate’s removal allows users to mount their equipment easily inside or outside the enclosure, removing the need to drill additional holes. It also makes maintenance easy — simply remove the plate, conduct the maintenance, and slide it back in once you finish.
Secure Lock
When you purchase a weatherproof NEMA enclosure from ArmorLogix, they all come with a secure camlock and a set of two keys. Thanks to our express customization options, we can upgrade them to pad-lockable handles or alternative keyed locks upon request.
Mylar Bubble Insulation
For further cooling, we install insulation in all our outdoor equipment enclosures.
Mylar bubble insulation is two layers of 1/8-inch barrier bubble film laminated between two layers of metalized film. Our enclosures, paired with Mylar Bubble Insulation, help keep the interior of your box climate-controlled.
Weathertight 3M Seal
ArmorLogix enclosures come standard with a weathertight 3M seal, which prevents the environment from getting inside. This ¼-inch thick Neoprene seal is made of high-quality material, is rugged to extended abuse, and remains flexible in a wide range of temperatures and conditions. Neoprene also further enhances resilience to other environmental factors such as UV, Ozone, and oxidation.
NEMA 3 & NEMA 4
ArmorLogix enclosures are rated either NEMA 3 or NEMA 4, providing protection against splashing, dripping water, precipitation, and airborne dust and dirt particles.
NEMA 3 models come with vents on the side and front, allowing you to add an optional fan to the front to keep your enclosure cool by expelling hot air within the enclosure. NEMA 4 models come without vents, providing even more protection against the elements by preventing directional water or air from entering the enclosure.
